All cats should be vaccinated to prevent against harmful and potentially life-threatening diseases. The types of cat vaccines that should be given will vary based on the life style of your pet. If your cat lives in the house and does not come into contact with other cats, only the basic cat vaccines are necessary. If your pet spends time outside and around other cats, the proper precautions should be taken with the necessary cat vaccinations. Vaccine Titers for certain vaccinations should be performed to determine if the cat needs a vaccine booster. We let the cat’s body and immune system tell us if there are sufficient antibodies to provide protection or if we need to booster that cat’s vaccinations.
